Group Field Trips

    Please fill out the form below in order to submit an inquiry for your group field trip at The Children's Garden and we will respond promptly. You are also welcome to call us at 941-330-1711 during business hours if you have any questions.

    Our field trip days are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays (Please note, we do not do field trips on Thursdays.) The duration of field trips at the Garden is 3 hours.  We are able to reserve shaded picnic tables for your group if you plan to bring lunch.

    Field Trip Pricing:
    In order to receive the reduced rate for admission, your group must have at least 12 guests.  The field trip rate is $8+tax for adults and teenagers 13 years & up, and $5+tax for kids ages 3-12.  If you have a tax-exempt number, we require a copy by email on the day of the field trip.

    Nature Add-Ons:
    Make your field trip extra special with activities found only at The Children’s Garden!  We ask that reservations for add-on activities are made two weeks in advance.  The cost of all Nature Add-On programs is $10+tax per child. We request a deposit of 50% to be applied towards crafting supplies at the time of booking.  Refunds of deposits are available until one week prior to your field trip.  Information about our Nature Add-On Programs is available at the bottom of this page.  
    Maximum Group Size:
    The maximum group size for our field trips is 24 kids, with a minimum of one adult supervisor for every 10 children.  Groups with the maximum 24 kids need 3 supervisors. All chaperones/supervisors must be at least 18 years old (ID required).

    Summer Visits:
    During summer visits, sunscreen & mosquito spray are highly recommended. We have tap water and bottled water for sale for $1, but we recommend bringing plenty of water as we do not have water fountains.

    Liability:
    Your Field Trip Supervisors accept full responsibility for watching and engaging with your children.  This is to ensure that your group, as well as other guests at the Garden, are able to have a safe and enjoyable trip.  By bringing your field trip group to The Children's Garden, you agree to be held liable for any destruction of plants, sculptures, or structures in the garden.  Our staff conducts periodic walk-throughs throughout the day and is available to answer any questions. Nature Add-ons are now Crafts-To-Go by The Children’s Garden.  Purchase individually during your next visit to the Garden, or in larger quantities for your next party or event. We ask for two weeks’ notice and a 50% deposit when purchasing for reservations and parties in order to ensure availability.  All kits are completely self-contained with everything you need for a magical crafting experience. They’re easy to bring home or take traveling, and they also make great party favors!

Fairy + Wizard Wands: $12 each

Fairy and Wizard wands include a 12” wooden star wand, paint set with brush, stick-on jewels, jingle bells, and ribbons for a perfectly whimsical keepsake craft.


Dragon + Fairy Dish Garden: $14+tax each
(Discounted to $12+tax with purchase of 10 or more)  
  • The Dragon’s Lair Rock Garden includes a sturdy dish with coco substrate, dragon figurine, pebbles and glass gems, moss and mini plants, dragon treasure hoard and real geode.
  • ​The Fairy Dish Garden includes a crystal dish with sparkly sand substrate, fairy figurine, gems and pebbles, moss and silk flowers, fairy gazing pond and mini bottle pendant with pixie dust.

Bug  Hotels Kit:$12+tax
(Discounted to $10+tax with purchase of 10 or more)
The Bug Hotel Kit includes a bug collection cup with magnifying glass, two plastic bugs, Crayola crayons to color your bug hotel, and a “My Bug Jar!” thumbprint craft with ink strip and bug stickers to decorate your cardstock bug jar. 


Mini Coloring Books: $6+tax
These travel-sized coloring books have 4 Crayola crayons and 12 pages of Garden favorites to color, from Snuffy the Dragon to the Pirate Ship, all printed on sturdy cardstock that’s perfect for car rides and plane trips. ​
