Food: We have bottled water and chips for sale, but no restaurant on premises. Please feel free to bring in food and non-alcoholic drinks for a picnic lunch! We are just a few minutes away from downtown Sarasota with many dining options.
Weather: Because the Garden is an outdoor space, unfortunately we do have to close in cases of inclement weather for safety. We will share updates on any unexpected closings on our Facebook page and in our voicemail message.
Memberships: If you choose to purchase a membership on the same day as your visit, you are able to apply some or all of your admission towards an annual membership (dependent on the level of membership). Learn more about our annual memberships here!
Natural Environment: The majority of the Children's Garden is outside and shaded by tree cover. We utilize natural insect control methods within the Garden to preserve the health of our native bees and butterflies. In the summer, we recommend wearing long lightweight pants and bringing a water bottle. The water misters in our bamboo rainforest are a great way to cool down, as well.
